That's the first I've heard of 283, I've heard 285 and 287.
This is my second one.
The Dakota had about 87K on it when I traded for this one.
This one has 40k on it.
It's bone stock, I've been thinking of a cold air kit and exhaust, but...
At least the hitch is on.
Worked out great.
After the bumper cover is off it is actualy easier then doing a hitch on an XJ.
No nuts to fish thru the framerails!!!
Took an hour to remove the cover and bolt the hitch up.
Another 1:45 to cut the bumper cover and plastic weld the used bezel in.
You can't tell it at all from the outside.
Looks factory stock.
Yeah!
