Re: [Amc-list] Pacer front brakes different? yes and no...

I sold a set of Pacer discs last week and we had some
Jav KHs to compare, as he didn't know which way to go.
Along side them was some bits and pieces from diff
apps that I use for parts, but enough there to cobble
up a set of discs.
Though the Pacer are diff only in the shape of the
bracket, the stops are not a factor. I had my 64 Amer
wagon that is getting PDBs off a Concorde and out of
curiosity I mounted the Pacers, they bolt right on.
Just make sure you get all the pieces.
I think the only app that won't just bolt on are the
Eagles, due to the 4WD issues.
You will have hose problems on trunnion cars but 71-4
KH Javs with the steel hose part will work (I have
used them before) and the Pacer brakes have a banjo
bolt, so the hose might work too. On my wagon I just
cut all the guess work out and had a set of braided
hoses with banjo ends made up. Non trunnion cars
should just swap back and forth all day, though ....Russ
