[Amc-list] t-96 issues??

my trans in my 62 classic 196/t96 keeps popping out of
1st gear... could be, but not sure, the shift stops
from my daytona floor shifter i put in it about 7
years ago. but the thing is, it JUST started doing it.
i dont feel it "click" into 1st gear anymore. maybe
the little ball that is on the shift lever inside the
trans has gone? i had it apart about a year ago.
trans, and rear end. replaced a couple bearings in the
rear, tore the trans all apart to inspect synchros,
and gear teeth/mesh, and bearings. everything looked
good then. just wondering if anyone else has had this
problem and/or knows if it is fixing to be terminal.
if it is, i will just have to kick my 304/t-5 build
into high gear i guess. i have a lot of the parts to
get it done. just have had other things to take
priority.
