Unfortunatly none of the off the shelf oils you can buy at walmart or most any auto parts store has very much zink in it. The EPA ( our Government) Mandated the new levels of zink in all Modern oils. This is why the high zink oils such as Valvoline racing oil has right on the bottle " Not Street Legal" Because it is not EPA compliant to be used in todays cars. Remember the Government and certain green activists want to get rid of the Car hobby. look at what Canada has done. They destroyed a billion $ industry in their country by outlawing high octane race gas. This is a LOW ZINC oil and should " be used in roller engines only (according to the Shell Engineer). Low " Zinc oil will be approx 600- 800 or less, some MUCH less. you forgot to mention what the api cert should be! most oil today is api cert 'sm' and that's the low zinc stuff. 'si' and earlier [like the walmart 'sf'] is the high stuff. for diesel oil, 'ci' is high, 'cj' lower. ________________________________________________________________________ Andrew Hay the genius nature internet rambler is to see what all have seen adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and think what none thought _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
