A thin piece of poster board against the rad saves your knuckles!
Jut hold the blade with a gloved hand.
if that does not work I've used a long 1/2" box wrench and tapped it with a hammer to break the bolts loose.
Can get kind of contorted to pull off.
Safest bet is to pull the radiator if the bolts don't come lose easily.
You need to get that damper out anyway!
