" I heat the oil up and soak certain parts like the gears in the hot bath
" before assembly.  It is also very helpful to heat the oil prior to
" initial start up.  Zinc reacts with heat bonding itself to metal parts.

joe gibbs recommends a procedure much like this to begin break-in.
they also suggest circulating the hot oil through the engine while
cranking it slowly by hand.
