Re: [Amc-list] Paint Scheme for a '62 Super Plain Jane 6216

Ever wanted a nice motorcycle? Vintage (1980), but everything there and you can ride from SC to VA if you wish! The only problem is the horn doesn't work. 198 GS1000 shaft drive, Vetter fairing, electronic ignition and coils replaced a few years ago, never any engine problems. New seat, paint, good tires. Just bring the Rambler down and take it back with you! I would take $1500 for the bike, so it's a fair deal, I think. Get the Rambler running and drive it down, ride the bike back! Well, you asked...

As far as two door fleet cars, you're looking at something like the phone company, power company, or some sort of delivery/courier service. I've seen (but don't have) photos of 60s two door Americans all lined up with AT&T Bell emblems on the doors, and some power companies. Here in SC the highway patrol used some two doors -- a friend of mine had 63 and 66 Ford Galaxie game warden cars, all with big V-8s (390 and 429, respectively). I believe they were used by the highway patrol a few years, then turned over to the game wardens, that's why the big engines in game warden cars. Of course he bought them at state auctions. But no Ramblers.

This is a completely never rusted 2 door sedan, 6 cyl, auto, radio delete
48,000 mile original PlainJane. The most basic Rambler I've ever owned.

61-62.is two door and 4 door Classic the same??

How about 'Highway Patrol' stuff? Anyone got DOCUMENTED 2 door Rambler
Police stuff?

I'd be interested in seeing this.

I'd consider selling this outright before I started messing with it if
anyone is interested.$1,000 straight up.

Anyone got said requested documents or ideas? If the car had less
'Fleetness', it'd make a good candidate for a 327 with a twin stick (I've
both) and it'd look cool.

Well, gang? What say ye? Ideas? Offers? Trades? What's out there.
