Think about it Tom! The 232 has a good bit more power than the 196. More towing/hauling capacity and speed potential means you need better brakes! A common mistake among novice hot rodders is to stick a big engine in a little car with stock brakes... need I say more?

i don't recall where i saw it - amc/rc docs maybe? - but iirc the '65
196 220 was 2640lb shipping weight; the '66 199 220, 2625.
