Yeah, that's what I used to do too, just grab the DA and some 80 or 60 grit and have at them! Once I got the color or actual vinyl off I'd switch to 150 or 180 on the da if thinnner would not remove the adhesive. On repaints this worked bst for me. If you are careful to not let the sandpaper get thru the stripe/paint/primer when in the 60-80 grit mode everything cleans up with the 150-180. I was thinking/hoping that a miracle solvent had appeared on the scene that would take those pesky old crappy stripes off with no fuss....
