Don't tempt me!!! :-)

Jim's talk of T5's taunts me...

There's a chance I might have the cash to build a motor for
the American this coming spring (I need to do two, actually,
the Classic's 232 also) and I'm thinking I would like to make
an aluminum motor. I've been fascinated by the thing for some
time. I can't believe they're a bad motor, if I can find a good
one, build it right, keep the head torqued, and keep the cooling
system in great shape I can't see a serious problem. Losin 80
lbs off this car alone would be a performance improvement...

Back to Jim's talk... if I didn't have a Twin Stick a small T5
behind it would be a great combo. A 5-speed (or 4-speed with
axle selected such that 4th is "overdrive"-ish) would be an
excellent match.

Jim, what car of yours has a 195.6?

But as it is, I really like the 3speed+OD, it's a blast to drive.
Any substantial increase in torque would be a threat to it. So
stock HP plus lightening would increase performance and also be
fitting with my overall plan for this car -- KEEP IT SIMPLE!!!!
