[Amc-list] Pole barn sizes?

If you want to be able to open doors and walk around the cars 10x20 per car is actually a good size. I have a 30x50 pole barn, but just have two garage doors since I wanted plenty working room. I walled off 13' on one 30' end for office and storage space. A standard garage door is 8' wide. If you're just working with cars that's fine. I'd put a 9' wide door in at least one stall though. My Jeep J-10 truck with big mirrors fits nicely through my 9' doors. It would be tight, and I'm sure I'd occasionally bump a mirror, with an 8' door. 

You might want to check with www.nationalbarn.com also. They have a "special" 30x50 building which is what I got. It comes with one sliding 10' door and one 36" personnel door which you can have put anywhere. I had them leave one 50' side totally off, delete the 10' sliding door, and just leave me the personnel door and frame along with the metal for the 50' side. No additional charge, but no credit on the "special" either. I then poured the concrete floor and finished the "front" 50' side the way I wanted. I'm putting siding on that side instead of the metal (faces the house), but I paid for the metal and wanted it left!

...to park the Ramblers (and Buick) in.   I was thinking that each 
'stall' should be 10' x 20' but, now that seems a little excessive.
