They are the same for mid 70s and earlier, different from then on. It all depends on the year! The catalog lists the most popular models, which would be 70's and later. Call about 50s and 60s models and you'll find they are the same, or within a couple ohms of the same.

Stewart-Warner catalog shows GM,Ford and AMC all different ohm ranges. Also I don't completely trust magazine writers .
I'd check w/ a meter first.
