hmmm...  i've most often seen it spec as 15/16".

afaik this is true.

perfection part numbers.

a stock 196 would not really need a stronger clutch, but a bigger disk
will last longer...  i put a conventional 10" pp [early '70s amc part,
not knowing about the mopar then] in my '66 american in the early '90s
and pedal pressure was virtually unaffected.

that was a monster motor.  this pp was hd for the slant but stock for
the 273, mopar's smallest v8; it would not have an outrageous pressure.
