Actually even the "American/Javelin" trunions are fine. as long as you watch them and maintain them.
Mine are fine, still ride on original bushings adn work nice and smooth. I lubed them a couple of years ago.
I have horizontal urethanes for them, but the orginals were nice, so I just cleaned everythign up and put it back toegther. 
  I've a spare set I wanted to have bronze bushed in the verticals and zerks fitting installed in. Just haven't got around to it, yet.
  As I stated in my first email.
It is the perception that it is a bad front end. The realitiy is far different if taken care of, even sporadically.
