[Amc-list] Help identify tool from dealership

Hello
I?ve had this tool for years and I?ve never know what
it is.

I got it with some AMC parts years ago, it did come
out of an AMC dealership.  It looks like some sort of
spring/strut compressor, but I?m not sure.  Maybe
someone recognizes it?  I?m not going to use it and
want it out of my way.  If you know what it is please
let me know, I?m curious.  Also, if you could use it
let me know that as well.  It?ll probably turn into
scrap if I can?t figure out what it is.
