[Amc-list] 65 rambler alt light

has anyone else had this same problem?? 

switch is in the OFF the alt light glows slightly, and
the oil light will blink slowly. it does not light up
very bright at all. during the day, you can barely
notice it. when the oil light does light up what
little it does, the alt light will dim. when the
switch is in the on position, the alt light is off.
even if engine is not running. oil light operates
normally. off when engine off. on when engine is
running for about 5 seconds and builds pressure. once
the car is running, it puts out a good 13.7 volts. so
i know its charging correctly. 

now, is the alternator causing this, or the voltage
regulator? or is it something in the dash? i hope this
is a rather easy fix. i have been fighting issues with
this car for to dang long. just had to replace the
ignition wire after the starter solenoid shorted out
and burt it all the way up to the dash. it is now
fixed. 

if i can figure out what is causing this alt light
issue, almost all of the electrical issues will be
solved. i just have no dash lights now other than the
alt light. i will figure that out after i can drive
it.
