Re: [Amc-list] RTV on Head Bolt (which side of the car is which?)

Todd and all, the "side" of a car is always referenced from the driver's position in the car. The left side is the driver's left, right driver's right when seated in the car. Doesn't matter where on the car (such as under the hood). US members can get away with saying "passenger's" or "driver's" side, but that doesn't apply to our British, Aussie, New Zealand, and Japanese friends. Hmmm.... I think those are the only four countries that drive on the left (use right hand drive cars), unless a couple of the third world nations (former British colonies?) do... Hong Kong and Singapore, maybe?

My Haynes manual says to put RTV on the #7 head bolt on the left side. Is
this the driver's side?
