If, I ever get to the point I'm comforatble doing anything I will be parting out the flood car and can spec out the tank from it, 65,990H,hardtop, Ambassador. It had a gascap,carb in place so hopefully it didn't fair too bad in the flood.
I pulled the carb from it yesterday and it had a 1/2 of mud on top of the secondary throttle plates on top of being resealed with blue goo and no gaskets! Very crusty carb!
    Anyway, If it's salvageable I'll use on of them to have restored. My brother was probably done at least 7 years ago now and it is holding up fine. It was rusted thru in several places from sitting under pines tress and was in tough shape sothe shop must do decent work.
  I've also tossed aroun the ideas of LPG or E85 or E100 as it's primary fuel. LPG obviously needs a new tank! I don't know if the restoration places work would hold up to straight or thinned alcohol.
