Its not exactly a "break-in", but there are dyno tests performed on every car by some of the OEM's at the end of the assembly lines these days.  My last job frequently took me inside the Ford Wixom plant where they made a variety of cars.  It would always make me cringe to see all the new Lincoln LS's being tested as they are driven off the end of the line.
