Thanks for your help.....well i went with the one piece metal insert....and reinstalled the bushings and cups as they were from the factory.....will check them after a few trips... car does not get driven much......the whole reason for this to begin with was to replace the lower spring seats which suffered from dry rot and a trip over Donner Pass which beat the crap out them resulting in metal to metal contact....so in the process I also replaced the upper control arm bushings as well as the strut rod bushing....hope it drives much better now......
