Well, after 9 years I finally discovered the noise that caused the warranty pull on my 4.0L.
It occurs cold, not hot! Just like forged pistons, not quite as bad though.
I don't mind at all, it only lasts for about 3-5 minutes.
 Kind of old school noise! Might be the Shell Rotella 15-40 too.
IIRC I was running 20-50W Castrol before.
