I saw my Orthopedic doc today for what appears to be my final visit. The news SUCKS..... I've never gotten pain free from the initial accident in my right shoulder. Two sugeries for the pin in my collarbone and one to clean up a small tear in my shoulder. PTherapy for 2 months, Shoulder still hurts, clicks and catches when put under a weight load of anything over 25lbs. Doc says, sorry, at this point he has no other options. If it is going to get better it will do so when it feels like it. but, he said 11 months out from the accident, 3 months from the last surgery, it's not likely to happen. He promised he did not miss anything when he was in there. Says more surgery will likely cause more harm, not less, permanent soft tissue damage is the likeliest cause, no way to fix that. Offered to write me up permanant restrcitions. Suggests it may be time to look into another line of work. Oh, H#!!..... The more I do the more it hurts. He gave me script for antiinflammatories as 1600mgs of Advil is not recomended long tern, nor is Ultracet, Loratab , etc; Now, I'm kind off in shock. I didn't take him up on the restrictions, yet. I need to take a day or two to compose myself, then I have to talk things over at work to see what happens now. I know I can't fill the requirements of my job as it stands now. Might be a good thing I bought that dissability inurance!!! No, NOT that DARNED DUCK!!! Sorry for the Offtopic. Kind off needed to vent and my wife is tied up in meetings all day...... Oh, while I'm here, anyone want a 65 Ambassador piece of nightmare project car? I'll let it sit till fall. If I don't see any possibilty of getting to work on it, I'll likely surrender and start parting it out. Price? Highly negotiable.... -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
