Re: [Amc-list] What type of cheap paint?

I've tried a lot of rattle-can paints over the years, and found that the
Duplicolor engine paint WITH CERAMIC (the slightly pricier type that they
sell, I believe) is head and shoulders above any other, except possibly the
engine paint from specialty places like Bill Hirsch. I use this engine
paint exclusively, whether a high-heat paint is required or not, simply
because it goes on great, is not prone to runs/sags, dries fairly quickly,
looks very good, and is tough. Too many of the other brands tended to stay
a bit gummy for days after spraying, making it difficult to handle the parts
without messing them up. Not so with the Duplicolor. Admittedly, it may be
a bit more expensive than other paints, and I'm using a pricier heat-type
paint where it's not required, but the ease of application, looks, and
durability make it worth it.
