Re: [Amc-list] AX15?

So am I!
I don't know why anyone would want that notchy shifting sucker in a car!
Strong yes.
Truckish, H#!! yes!
When I go to all the trouble of doing a trans swap I want better, not worse.
I've driven a lot of AX15's. I would call none of them "smooth" shifting.
My personal favorite is the T5. Not the strongest out there, but it can be beefed, bought cheap if you're not in a hurry too. It's also no longer current and popular which brings prices down.
Anyone with a moderate knowledge base can build one too. All the information to do so is available FREE on the net.
