yeah - if you need a new compressor, why not get a -new- one?  even
with brackets the sanden could be less than a york.

sandens were used with r12 before r134a...

the other 'drop kick' case is where you're adding a/c to a car that
didn't have it, and you have to buy everything anyways.  if you're not
going concours, better to get the sanden and brackets than the york.
