[Amc-list] Intake manifold coolant hose fitting question.

Good Morning,

    After almost 19 or so years, the heater hose from the valve to the 
water pump has rubbed through... so I am going to finally get off my 
butt and replace the hoses (that haven't already been replaced).  My 
question is about the brass (?) fittings screwed into the intake 
manifold with hoses from the heater valve and water pump.  These -look- 
like they are sealed with Teflon tape but, since I've never had an AMC 
or Jeep before this one, I thought I'd ask what was/is used to seal 
these back up.  Thanks so much.
