What I remember about the aluminum engine is that as a kid of 17 I merclessly killed one!
I beat it till it died, Killed two BW autos too!
when we put the iron 196 and a third BW in, I was told if I hurt it one more time I was walking till H#!! froze over!
I retaliated by buying a rusty 68 Mustang Convertible with a siezed 289 for $50. Threw a bunch of beat up parts and a free 289 in it an never looked back. well, till the Mustang died, sold it for $400 and went back to Ramblers for a while, Then back to Fords. Been Back to Ramblers since 1992ish and figure I'll stay fer a while.
