Edging on off topic, but close as it is a Jeep.
A few weeks back I put a " I can't let him buy that so cheap" bid in on a JVC Head unit.
Well Low and behold I won the thing for $52! $68 total shipped.
The only reason I was even looking is I put an FM modulated JVC CD 12 disc changer in the 97 Sport 2 years ago just after we bought it. I've never been impressed with the sound quality and a few months back the factory head unit dropped the right rear speaker. 
  I put it in this evening and it works like a new one, The stupid little hard to handle controller for the changer is gone! The sound is excellent and with the capabilty of 13 mp3 burned discs the possibilty of never listening to crappy radio again is just a few self burnt discs away. The final piece in the puzzle is the little 1/8" jack right there in the front of the unit to plug in Ipods or other sound inputs! Cool!
   Now I must ask, has anyone wondered why they chose to make the head units so theftable in the XJ in 97? Jeez, just grab the bottom of the radio surround and tug. Two 10mm bolts and the head unit is out! I'd bet the thing could be out in 2 minutes or less with practice. :[ 
   Anyway, this was one of the last things on my to do before they poke holes in my shoulder! Done!
