Methinks thou hast two (2) "brake switches" -- the one actuated
by the pedal what makes the ass lit up, and the one in the
combo block onna firewall what makes the dash BRAKE FAIL light.

If it's the former, chase away the bugs... if the latter, then
(a) if you recently bled the brakes, as Frank points out, then
you need to reset the switch on the combo block. RTFM TSM. (b)
If you have NOT recently bled the brakes, you might actually have
a brake system failure, like a leaking rear wheel cylinder. (Rear
brake problems it's possible ot not feel, if your front discs
fail you notice).
