also, if the switch isn't positioned right - or is just cheap - you
could be hammering it, causing it to fail 'on'.  i had this happen to
several switches when i first got my '68 before i figured it out.  all
my previous amcs had m/c pressure switches and only one ever failed.
i caught it before it was completely gone though, saving me a ticket.
