If we were talking about a usable motor, I don't think
 $200 to $300 is too much to pay, especially if it
comes with accessories.

Here in CA you can get a PickNPull motor for $139 plus
tax (regular price) and one half of that when they
have a sale. That's without accessories, like the
alternator, carburetor, etc. The motors often can be
usable with little or no work. Of course you have to
pull it yourself.
