Don't have my books with me to give you the shipping weight, but it is
around 3,500 pounds, +/- 250 or so. The aluminum block saved 150-200
pounds. The only real benefit that the AMC dealer could sell was it
saved the cost of power steering because of the reduced weight. Not
enough to really cut gas mileage, maybe a half mile to the gallon.

Just curious, what's the approx weight of a 61 Rambler Wagon deluxe ?
I do have the alum block engine.
