Club classifieds are a good way to find parts. Second, there's a pretty good vendor's list at http://www.planethoustomamx.com. I'm pretty sure South Texas AMC is on that list (the website is http://southtexasamc.tripod.com if it's not). Andre Jacobs runs that business and I've been very happy with the used sheet metal I've gotten from him so far. Third, the Kenosha History Center is putting on a show near the end of July next year. Vending has been great both times I've been there. More info can be found at http://www.kenoshahistorycenter.org/content/events4.html (I think AMO has the actual registration form posted on their site at http://www.amonational.com). AMO's national meet is the weekend after the 4th of July in Denver next year and if it's anything like this years, there will be plenty of vending.
