Eddie,
Thanks for all your quick email responses. I found out last night,
looking into my service manual, that the front drums are NOT
interchangeable with the rear drums. The front drums have external studs
and center wheel bearings and the rear drums have holes for studs with a
hole in the center for the axle. I don't know what I was thinking
possibly using these on the rear axle, they just won't work. Also,
flared drums were available on certain 6 cylinder models and all V8
models. Does anyone out there have any Bendix 10" flared rear drums that
they want to sell that are useable? I have discs in front and my rear
drums are still good with less than 40,000 original miles, but not sure
for how much longer.
Thanks, Mark.
