My Flickr name is Gremlingts, just like my other SN's. Some pics are posted elsewhere, some are new. Anyway, just thought I'd mention this sight, as it's free, and pretty nice, lots of options for searchers as well as posters. I invite you to go have a look at it. I don't recall anyone ever saying to get a specific year S-10 housing in any site I've read untill I cam acroos this site that the guy was putting a Camaro housing on a Ford trans, then he says you must use wc shaft with the wc class housing????? I have to work here for another 8 hours or so today. I'll do some surfing and see if I can figure out what is up. Last night I got the American all ready to bring out today and got up this morning and it had poured down rain, everything was soaked, watched the weather and more storms forcast, rats. I'll try to drive it tomorrow, All our A/C equipped cars have problems right now and I'm waiting for the gauge set I ordered to show up so I can charge them. With no good A/C cars, my wife won't complain too much if I say let's take the American to your mom's! Back on the T-5, I have some GM overdrive gearsets, plus the one in the AMC is geared better then the Ford. I will have to see what the facts are, but I believe they can be exchanged as a set, even nwc to wc! The bearing support sounds nice, I'll look into it again. The channel was Spike TV,a nd the show is called "When Stunts Go Bad" of course you have tons of Evel Knievel, his son Robby and other daredevils, but one is the narrator himself. His name is Brian Carson "The King Of Crash". One scene shows a great looking 70-72 Ambassador hauling ass towards the camera, the camera itself is under the twin ramps. I would hate to think that is what people in Houston traffic see in their rearview mirror when I am careening around in the 72 Ambassador SST wagon or the 69 Ambassador SST (which is for sale still in shameless plug http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4630772691 ) Ironically it didn't show the Crash Ambassador going thru the air. His particular special was flying thru the air and landing on a 'bed of cars'. Some of the cars you will instantly recognize also. While all are painted white, grills, bumpers, everything on them sprayed white, I saw a Hornet and a 67-69 Rambler wagon. As with demolition derbies, these cars are hauled to the crusher after the event sadly. That Rambler was good looking in white too, looked like a solid car! Brian is the half dead dude here, I guess that is a promotional photo: http://www.rexcars.com/Photo_Gallery.htm that photo was taken after he did a stunt, I believe it was driving a Cadillac off a 12 story parking garage in Las Vegas. http://www.rexcars.com/Photo18_New_copy.jpg As usual, onto a bed of cars, however, the Caddy landed roof down and had to get jaws of life to get him out. I would have been there with some pico de gallo, queso, tortillas, as he looked like fajitas. Just some 'bone crunching action' in the show. Maybe Spike TV will repeat it, worth watching for the great stunts, and not all of them 'go bad' nor everyone croaks attempting them. Hope everyone has a safe, and Happy 4th of July tomorrow, God Bless America: http://www.planethoustonamx.com/AMC_SC360_wflag.JPG Eddie Stakes' Planet Houston AMX 713.464.8825 eddiestakes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx *email is currently HEAVY Call if important* www.planethoustonamx.com ------------------------------ Message: 10 Date: Mon, 03 Jul 2006 19:29:27 -0700 From: "Jim Blair" <carnuck@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [AMC-List] best oil filter for a 390? They also make the Filters used by CarQuest auto stores. As I do visit the CarQuest store as a matter of preference I usually will buy my filters there, but I generally buy the bottom line and change them every 3000 miles. But on the other hand I have a shelf full of Fram Filters at the present because I found them on sale and as I maintain an I6 Spirit, an '80 AMX, a Donohue, a '94 Saturn and a 96 Chrysler T&C + 2 cars under construction and I drive 30,000 miles + a year and have most of my life I have never had a failure with a Fram Filter and see no reason why not to run one. I frankly do not think for a basic street driven engine with no more worries other than it starts and gets to the grocery store and back that it really makes much of a difference what filter you run. Just change oil every 3000 miles or so and call it good to go.
