Re: [AMC-List] my 62 classic project

SNIP
where would i be able to find poly bushings for the front of my 62
classic?
SNIP

www.espo.com <http://www.espo.com/>
PROTHANE 1-888-PROTHANE for more information or http://www.prothane.com/
http://www.classicone.com/wsc/catalog/amc_x.htm
These are just some sources that can supply AMC polyurethane suspension
parts.

SNIP
is there anywhere that has trunnion kits for
less than 130-150 EACH??
SNIP

No, not if you want them to be any good at all. There are instruction
sheets or information on ordering parts and rebuilding them you're self
though, but rebuilt units are not cheap so expect to pay for them.

SNIP
on another subject, does anyone know how strong the t-5's that came in
the
jeep cj's are?
SNIP
These units are not known for their reliability in a jeep or any other
AMC application!
As far as rebuild capability there are plenty of web sites that feature
T5 rebuilding information, check them out.
http://www.5speeds.com/t5/index.html
http://www.merkurencyclopedia.com/Trans,Diff/transmission.html
http://www.5speeds.com/
http://www.keislerauto.com/
These are just some. Use a Yahoo search and go look for T5 +Borg Warner
+Jeep or AMC or Ford
SNIP
I like where the shifter is positioned on the jeep t5. i can retain my
bench seats.
SNIP
I don't know why you can't retain your bench seat with a Mustang unit,
it sure clears the Arm Rest In my Javelin just fine and it has lived for
10 years behind a cooking version of a 390.

Good Luck and come home safe.
