Finally started to see some real progress on the Ambassador. Passenger side corner is 99% done inside and out. Welded up the tip of the tip of the outer rocker yesterday. Had to put in the very front section of the center rocker support plate. Then build the outer section. It came out real nice. I'm quite pleased with it. Lots of zinc primer and good ventilation. I'd like to figure out how to get a good coat of paint down in there, but I'm not sure how to get the right angle to do it. I'll think on it while moving on. I need a couple of small plates in the front passenger floor area, and the top of the cowl where the trough ties in. Sure is nice not to see daylight thru the corner! I've seen nothing to discourage me from saving this car. All the rust is in areas that are non structural. except for a very minor bit along the edge of one or two of the box sections. Nothing that can't be accessed easily, thankfully! I should try and get the engine compartment wrapped up, so I can drop the engine in and make it mobile. It would be nice to be able to move it in and out when the weather starts to break. It would be a real shot in the arm for motivation too! -- Mark Price markprice242ATadelphia.net Morgantown, WV
