Hight Stall Converter

Hey Joe, I just took a torque converter out of a
1981 Eagle with a258 that had a neon pink tag on it
that said "high stall". No idea if it's original, but
on sight alone I would think this car was never
apart(junkyard). That converter, off an a998, had
slots that were too wide for the drive ears on the '76
a904. So I lost my nerve and bought a new one(old one
leaking).
Still ain't got my Gremlin to move yet. Adjusted the
bands several times, guess I'll have to inspect the
valve body before I call it the pump. Sure is weird. I
drove the car right into the spot where I did the
seals and converter. Yet it won't move now. hmmmm. At
least having the valve body off is excuse for a shift
kit /;]
Becoming a trans guru the hard way
