the end of the AMC six...



... mentioned in HOT ROD mag, since D-C is dropping the 4.x I6. They
were nice to AMC in the little side bar.

The sole picture was of Barney Navarro with the '67 Indy car, engine and
plumbing visible. The single-turbo motor, from the rear. Tantalizing
photo, but too small to reveal details, like, is there a filler/breather
cap on that valve cover? Was the '67 motor dry-sump?

I really need to get going with the research on this.

I hadn't looked at HOT ROD for probably close to a decade; last I
recall, it was "A: Ford B: Chevy C: None of the above" and pretty much
'construction' sales articles. Still a lot of both, but a lot more
readers-rides and (gasp) even inline motors mentioned. 

Probably not news to the rest of you, sometimes I'm late to the party
:-)
