Re: OT: Frustration continues

Why not just buy a tank is the compressor is still good? www.surpluscenter.com has 20 and 30 gallon horizontal tanks. The 30 is $150 plus shipping. It's a portable type without the compressor -- has wheels, mounting base, and handle. The pipe adds a lot of capacity! While you're working on the tank, plumb a remote drain in. Then you can drain it occasionally, preventing rusting out. I'm considering buying a twin to my 20 gallon tank and linking the two. That or I need to find a lot of 2.5" pipe... ;>

The kore I think about it the less I want to spend, typical huh! My problem is I have built a small lean too shed in a corner tucked between my garage door and a retaining wall. Under it I keep my old protable 5 horsepower 20-gallon Craftsman compressor. it has the wheels removed and is bolted down to keep it from disappearing. It is also on the outside wall from my Breaker box in the house. There is 60ft of 2.5" pipe in place to run my shop on the other end of the house. Free pipe, that's why it is so large! Anyway, The lean too is under my electric meter, probably not kosher, but I've never received a complaint from the power company, so I want to keep it there.
