Some one mentioned their uncle Herman owned a Hudson in 56-57. My grand father and uncle both named Herman owned 57 Hudson's. My father also named Herman bought a used 53 Nash to teach my mother to drive on but gave up and sent her to a driving school. Sold his 54 Hudson and bought her a 57 Plymouth and drove the Nash himself till 1960 when he bought a 1960 American that I learned to drive on in 1962. Fortunately for me my mother put the end of the Herman name in my family, mine is Mike and my brother is Steve. I have however kept the Rambler/AMC tradition going from 1965 when I bought my first new American till now. The old man turned traitor in 77 and bought Mopar and again in 84. I just gave the 84 "K" car wagon to my son with 11,000 original miles. My mother made 3,000 miles on it from when the old man passed in 86 till 2002. Imagine if instead of a "K" car it was an Eagle wagon or a Concord wagon with this mileage, and garage kept to boot? Wash it, put a coat of wax on it and have a 95+ point car at any AMC show. My son uses the "K" car as a beater when he doesn't use his Javelin. "Doc"
