Packard made a 320 and sold that to AMC in 55, the 352 in 1956. The
GEN-1 250 appeared in the Nash Ambassador and Hudson Hornet
"Specials"
mid year of 1956. These were the smaller Stateman and Wasp bodies
with
Ambo and Hornet trim. 1957 saw the "Specials" dropped and the 327
used
in place of the 352 in the full size cars, the 250 pushed down into
the Rambler body -- with the exception of the hot special edition
1957
Rebel.

The day, evening really - that Dad brought me to the gas station to
buy the first 1956 Packard I'd seen - about a year earlier then a
trans leak sidelined it at this City Service Station - for $75.00 >
the Station Owner brought me to the other side of the lot & told
me to get in this *Mint* - huge white NASH 2dr - with a squareish
tufted
white leather interior.

He jumped in & fired the engine > said
this NASH had the same engine in it as the Clipper Super we'd
just bought.

I remember staring at this Dashboard from outer space in disbelief
as we whirl'd the NASH around the building to be resettled on another
lot.

I want one !
