Re: Someone got a great deal on that '58 Rebel!

I went to Hannibal once to pick up a 1966 Marlin that turned out to be a rusty chicken coop. First and last time I didn't ask for pictures before going somewhere like that.

Hannibal is a little town in the middle of nowhere (pretty easy to get to from Cincinnati, OH but takes a while). My entire trip there (actually west of it) and back was miserable so I'm not the best judge of it but if you're not there for Mark Twain stuff, make sure you go off season. Hotel rooms triple in price during the tourist season.

I was watching that one also. I couldn't believe what it sold for! I am looking at the red 1959 wagon that didn't meet the reserve. The owner & I are in discussion.
Is there anyone on this list that is near Hannibal Missouri? Sure would like to have someone check it out for me. You can contact me off list if you don't want anyone to know you are looking at an un-cool pre 60's wagon.
