" From: farna@xxxxxxx " " I've only seen two spindles: one for drum and one for disc brakes. i've seen thin-flange drum spindles - which -may- be the same as disk spindles - and thick-flange drum spindles, meant to equal the disk spindle plus caliper bracket, and i've seen a pile o' part numbers in the mitchell interchange. " Some of the big cars w/big Bendix or KH discs may use a different " spindle as the bearing set is a different number than the others. " The difference, however, may be in the rotor and not the spindle. nb. the big bendix setup used '74-8 on big cars and across the board '75-6 has its own set, but everything else, drums and disks, before and after, is covered by a single set. " Short answer: drum to drum spindle should be the same. i think this is right also. ________________________________________________________________________ Andrew Hay the genius nature internet rambler is to see what all have seen adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and think what none thought
