Neil, A while back I was asking a question similar to this. A very good guy from Texas responded with an idea he and his brother used on their AMCs. They bolted a plate of steel between the upright and the spindle to drop the front of their cars two inches or more. They had a machinist drill the plates for them and then all they had to do was unbolt the spindle and bolt in the plate. Has anyone used those screw clamp deals that clamp a couple of coils together from Autozone, etc? Do they work ok and are they reliable? Or, is this a really poor solution to doing it right?
