I went to a customers house today and he has a green AMC Hornet Sportabout Wagon. He says it is a 1961 but I know better than that. it looks similar to this one http://tinyurl.com/8c8xw except the color. The color looks similar to the wagon here http://www.zitrotek.com/amchornet/ProdYrs/1974/1974.asp
There's not a lot of early hornet wagons! 70-72 are pretty scarce
around here. For the most part they're just hornet/gremlins, easy
enough to find parts. Only some parts are unique, like the grille,
headlamp doors and bumpers.
THe headlamp doors especially are made out of a particularly low
grade of crap and all seem chipped and broken.
Drivetrain is all early six (borg warner) stuff, but 72 was the
year they switched to torqueflites, but 70 - 72 look the same.
Starter on the drivers side means borg warner.
