Re: 1965 990H is for HURST [NOT!] power windows?

That's good to know.
I have a local guy who does motor work here ina small barn shed. He is awesome. Last time I used him he was cheap too!
I once needed starter bruch springs and hadn't been in his shop for years and he gave me brand newones. Told me to come back when I needed something when I asked him how much!
He aslo rebuilt an outboard boat starter for me for less then $30. A new one was close to $200! he has the lathe to turn down arnature and even knows how to swap bushings to make motors work when the snouts are worn down.
He's just one of those old time guys you hear about, but seldom run into anymore.

>Actually, there is a good chance they do still work. Might take a little contact cleaning on the wiring and switches though. There is a chance that the driver's motor is worn out, but should be easy enough to replace or have the motor re-wound. Now the rear window of a station wagon is another story! The motor has a lot more work to do with the larger, heavier piece of glass. The motor I bought works fine with no load, but won't lift the glass. It's just worn out from being overworked so long! I need to get that motor fixed or replaced. I bought it from a person who thought the switch was burned up since it worked when bench tested. I found out different after installing. Worn motor is what caused the switch to burn up!
