it would make for some interesting stories on how it
came about.  You know I like a good story from time to
time.  Something like it started out as a limited
production SC race car that was sent to the dealers as
6cyl VIN car for DOT purposes.  Then the dealers put
the 401 in, hood scoop, Hurst options and stripe.  I
heard all in all there were only 3 made for the street
before the government put a stop to it and the other
two have not been seen since 1974.  One was destroyed
during a 8 sec run at a drag strip when the car pulled
a wheelie in second gear and the driver lost control
and hit the guard rail.  This is the only one still
known to exist.

Wow, you gotta wonder what other non-documented crazy stuff factories did from time to time...


BTW, anyone out there interested in a very good
running and quiet low mileage 232 with a 3spd manual
trans?
