Re: Flywheel cover for B/W tranny



It won;t affect the non-air cooled models, might actually help them by cooling the converter a bit. That air cooled system is touchy though! I just about burned a M-35 up by running it without the cover. I had just had it rebuilt or I probably would have! When it started slipping a bit I checked and noticed the burnt oil. After a call to the trans shop I was told it was overheating, and between us we figured it was likely the cover. Reinstalled cover, changed fluid, no more problems. If I hadn't had the thing recently rebuilt I may have taken too long to figure out the problem, just chalked it up to an old trans and burnt someting up.
