That was enough to get the vacuum line loose in the fitting but the nut is still rusted to the tube. Also, I have been using flare nut wrenches. I just had an idea on how to get the lines out by unscrewing the fuel line elbow from the pump and then taking off the vacuum line. I'll let everyone know if this works or not.
I know this sounds like an advertisement, but an ex-aerospace machinist turned me on to this stuff called AeroKroil. It's not cheap, $10 for a 8oz areosol can, but it makes autoparts-store penetrants and WD40 look like freakin' glue.
The stuff crawls into the damnedest cracks. Small example: aluminum spacer on the parts car's water pump pulley, probably original, frozen solid onto the shaft. Wouldn't budge. Kroil, wait ten, it came off by hand.
